Leading a team on a significant retail re-branding project covering brand architecture, sub-brand expression, in-store navigation and value propositions. Working with the clients in-house design team bringing the new expression to life. In addition to this project I fulfilled a wider role involving pitching and winning new business for the company on three projects.

Fulfilling a similar role to Wolff Olins, I worked across a wide range of sectors. One of my main projects included the re-branding of Hays Specialist Recruitment, a project which lasted over 12 months with an ongoing brand management role following this. I was also involved to a large degree in the strategic and creative management of long term key clients such as Musgrave Group as well as working hands-on on re-branding projects for Barclays, Pearson, KPMG and British Council.

Clients included Credit Suisse, Hyder, Merita Bank, Pilkington, Sky, GM Europe, Saab, Vauxhall, BT, Portugal Telecom, Tokyo Metro, Scholtès, Hotpoint, Elco, Société Generale, PwC, Majid Al Futtaim
At Wolff Olins I worked across four main sectors – Financial Services, Automotive, Telecoms and Consumer Goods. Most projects saw me involved from the start, providing some input into research, recommendations and strategic direction before moving on to help define the creative approach. I was often involved over the full period of a project, shaping initial concepts through to guiding brand to life development. I built a strong reputation for creativity, delivery and consistency.
July 91 - Sept 94: Ingleton Thomas - Senior Designer
Clients included Geest, Hoechst Rousel, NatWest Markets, NatWest Group, Warburgs, Smiths Industries, BICC Group.
Being part of a company which was only 7 strong and consisting of only three designers, I was involved in all aspects of brand creation and visual identity. This ranged from initial concepts through to implementation, and even producing all artwork for production. In this role I also had day to day client contact supporting a single Account Manager. Ingleton Thomas also undertook many corporate literature projects and Annual Reports.
Feb 91 - July 91: Wagstaffs Design - Freelance Designer
Clients included Tesco stores, Sea Containers.
Part of a 15 strong company based in Bedford which mainly undertook literature work for property developers.
Aug 86 - Jan 91: Negus & Negus - Designer
Clients included Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Birmingham European Airways, Dubai Tourist Board, British Gas, British Airways, MTI Venture Capital, RGIT Aberdeen, Wedgwood China, Waterford Crystal.
Part of a 12 strong company, I was initially involved in supporting the senior designers and then graduated into a role where I was largely working under my own initiative. Work undertaken included large visual identity projects and also Annual Reports for newly privatised companies such as British Gas and British Airways.
