I’m a freelance strategic designer who helps businesses identify, clarify and harness what makes them better, different and special. And then make sure they take full advantage of it.

Creating a tangible and consistent advantage by transforming the way businesses look, feel, and talk about themselves.

Throughout my career I have created, evolved and managed brands across 16 countries, 13 business sectors, for over 100 different businesses or organizations,  working for both large corporates and startups.

My expertise also crosses over into strategic analysis and insight generation.

Starting at a small but prominent branding agency called Negus & Negus in 1985, I moved on to work for another small company, a break-away from Michael Peters, called Ingleton Thomas. I then joined Wolff Olins in 1995 where I spent 13 years. Since leaving Wolff Olins in 2008, I have also worked for Interbrand and Landor Associates.

I believe that the most powerful branding solutions come from expressing bold ideas with strength, simplicity and conviction.

Increasingly I am working at the intersection of brand strategy and UX design, and have been instrumental in shaping the brand ideas and architectural principles on many of the projects I have been involved in.

On many projects I have stayed involved throughout the entire life span, from initial strategy through to guidelines, brand engagement and implementation.
